Andrew Markew

Owner
Design Consultant / Project Manager

Andrew began his journey in landscaping at the young age of 16. He developed his skillset and eye for design utilizing pieces of each project to compile compelling and intricate landscapes. In 2004, Andrew brought Whitby Shores Landscaping to fruition.

Through hours of hard work, perseverance, and integrity, his clients’ visions came to life. Andrew’s two-man operation grew rapidly into a large multi-faceted company servicing Durham Region and the GTA, and, by 2016, Whitby Shores’ work was recognized and backed by Bryan Baeumler of HGTV to become one of his approved contracting companies in the landscape industry.

Andrew’s passion shines through on every interaction he has with homeowners and each of the projects he leads and he makes every renovation experience for the client as simple and enjoyable as possible and looks forward to working with you.

Derrick

Construction Site Supervisor

Derrick began landscaping in 2002, and, like many landscapers, his passion took shape early and he set his sights for success by working hard to achieve each goal set out in front of him.

Derrick takes great pride in his work and recognizes the challenges his team members may face, especially when working alongside younger team members.

Eager to teach new skills, learn, and challenge himself and aims to please, his accuracy and precision are his greatest strengths along with leadership and work ethic.

Derrick is a proud member of the Whitby Shores team and demonstrates true craftsmanship in the industry.

Victoria

Office Manager

Victoria manages our day to day operations and works behind the scenes to organize and coordinate our projects so that each one runs as smoothly as possible.

Victoria is also responsible for managing office operations, procedures, meeting with customers and her excellent customer service all help provide your best experience with Whitby Shores.

Shannon

Landscape Architect

Shannon is an accomplished landscape architect with over 12 years experience in the industry. She offers a practical perspective with a unique background in architecture, environmental design and interior design which continuously provides her with an advantage to her approach and execution of projects.

She believes that an exceptional design is the result of inspiration, communication, functionality and flare, and loves channeling this with each client!

Leslie

Landscape Architect

With over 10 years of experience, Leslie has turned her life long passion for the outdoors and love of design into a successful career in landscape architecture.

She strives to provide meaningful spaces, that are an extension of the home, through thoughtful design, and is sensitive to the countless elements that work together to make a project successful.

Her love for creating spaces that people truly enjoy is contagious and shines through in all of her work.
